Educational Qualifications:

Young Professional-I: Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture/ Horticulture.

Desirable: Post Graduate degree in Agricultural Extension/ Economics/ Statics/ Marketing. Experience: one year experience in relevant field.

Young Professional-II: M.Sc. Horticulture/ Genetics & Plant Breeding.

Desirable: Working experience preferably in Horticulture crops/ Genetics and Plant breeding.

Young Professional-II: M.Sc. Horticulture/ Genetics & Plant Breeding.

Desirable: Working experience preferably in Horticulture crops/ Genetics and Plant breeding.

Young Professional-II: Master’s degree in Horticulture with Vegetable Science/ Master’s degree in Agriculture with Genetics & Plant Breeding.

Desirable: Experience in DUS testing of vegetable Crops.

Research Associate: Ph.D. in Biotechnology. OR Master’s degree in Biotechnology/ Applied Genetics with 4/5 years of Bachelor’s degree having 1st division or 60% marks or OGPA & with at least three years of research experience and at least one research paper in Science Citation Index/NAAS rated (≥4.00) Journal.

Desirable: Work experience on CRISPR/Cas9, genome editing, gene cloning & vector construction. RTqPCR sgRNA synthesis and validation, edit characterization. Experience: 3 years of experience on CRISPR/Cas9.

Junior Research Fellow: Post Graduation in Plant Pathology (Plant Virology)/ Plant Bio-technology/ Genetics and Plant Breeding/ Horticulture/ Plant Bio-Chemistry/ General Biotechnology/ Agri.-Entomology with NET qualification.

Desirable: PG/Ph.D. specialization in Plant Pathology (Plant Virology) with knowledge of Molecular Diagnostics of Plant Viruses, Bio-informatics and Transcriptome Data analysis. Experience: Molecular plant virology techniques and Bioinformatics, transcriptome data analysis skills.

Young Professional-II: M.Sc. Agricultural Statistics/ Statistics. Desirable: Practical experience in handling Agriculture data analysis using SAS/R/SPSS, etc.,

Young Professional-II: Post Graduation in Botany/ Horticulture/ Plant Breeding.

Desirable: Knowledge of computers

Age Limit:

Young Professional: 21 to 45 years
Research Associate: 40 years for men & 45 years for women
Junior Research Fellow: 30 years for men & 35 years for women

Age relaxation shall be applicable as per the rules

Salary:

Young Professional-I – Rs. 25,000/-PM(Consolidated)
Young Professional-II – Rs. 35,000/-PM(Consolidated)
Research Associate – Rs. 49,000/- PM+HRA (for master’s degree holders) & Rs.54,000/- PM+HRA (for Ph.D) Up To31.03.2026
Junior Research Fellow – Rs. 31,000/- PM+HRA for 1st & 2nd year & Rs.35,000/- PM+HRA for 3rd year
Young Professional-II – Rs. 35,000/-PM(Consolidated)
